Well, it's time for me to replace the timing belt and water pump on my 2001 A6 Avant. It has the 2.8 V6. I live in the DC area and was wondering who would you recommend for the job. Thanks in advance. First, my apartment complex doesn't allow repairs and at any rate, this is a bit out of my league.

I can't recommend anyone as I don't live in DC but I would say to look for a place that specialise in european cars. Sorry I can't be more help. Just about to do a top end rebuild myself.

 

I am pretty sure I had this shop do mine back in 2006/7( I am out of the country and can't check my receipts but they are located where I remember going back then) They seemed very knowledgable about the car and I had no problems with anything they did.
