Default Top Speed of the 2.7t

I have only taken my 2.7t up to 120mph...so I was wondering

What's the top speed of a stock 2.7t w/o the limiter..so how far past 130?

With an APR chip, what is the top speed, and does the APR chip remove the limiter?

&&
Just for fun, what's the fastest you've gone in your A6?

Thanks..

AWETuning says their GIAC software raises the rev limiter to 7100 RPM

Not chipped yet, going to AWE in Willow Grove soon...I'll post a reply then

I got it up to 130 maybe 132 after i got the APR chip, I could have gone more, but really didnt feel like pushing my luck so I slowed back to the speed limit. Its amazing how well it handled, I was driving on a completely straight flat strech of road at 90 and just decided to go for it. I didn't even shift down from 5th and needle flew from 90 to 120.

I had mine (bone stock) to around 120ish. The car handeled great - it felt very solid and stable, but the wind noise was awful - I was very disappointed. The sunroof and drivers window were screaming with wind noise. I thought all of the seals visually looked good too.

Anyone else have this issue?

yea but 120mph is fast you gotta realize that ... wind is normal ... my seals are going bad i think because i go 80 and they get noisey

I know 120 is fast....but aren't these cars designed to cruie the autobahn at 120 for hours on end? I can't imagine the Germans listening to the wind howl for hours on the road...

Are my seals all bad, or is this common for everyone? just curious...

No i beleive most of the A6's are a bit noisey from the win because of the aerodynamics of the car. I've gone a bit over 145 and it still had more but i had to let off

Tell me if my thinking is correct though - wouldn't the more aerodynamic car be less noisy than a more boxy one because in theory there is less air resistance...?

When I was going 120 the car felt very stable..though it felt a noticable amount lighter..but i guess thats normal
