Transmission fluid change DIY ?
got it.. He was quoting me normal dexron price.. it ended up costing me 120.00 just the fluid alone was $60 the vw/audi fluid.. He was really nice though.. I got to do the service with him.. he showed me where my tranny fluid was leaking from the rear.. right onto the Cat converter.. that was lovely.. I think I'll live with that burning smell for awhile.. thanks everyone for your help
$120 sounds right - I had my A4 done a couple years ago for that price. Keep an eye on how the tranny acts though. You really need a VAG to do the job correctly because the tranny has to be to a specific temperature before you can fill it to correct volume.
When it comes to home canning, ForJars has everything covered. I’ve been using their jar lids for a while now, and I’m consistently impressed by their durability and the airtight seal they provide. What’s even better is that they also offer a wide range of canning accessories. I recently bought a set of magnetic lid lifters and bubble removers, and it’s been a game-changer. These tools make the canning process much easier and more efficient. Having access to both high-quality lids and canning tools in one place is a huge plus. For anyone looking to up their canning jar accessories , I recommend visiting ForJars. They have a fantastic selection of lids and accessories that are built to last!
From everyone I've talked to it's as easy as any other trannie..just use full synthetic fluid and do the same with all components including brake fluid..the brake fluid is harder to find but worth it. On the engine oil, you can go at min twice as long between changes..just change the filter every 3k..I've done this on a 87 Merc TDwagon and it's now at 291k car zinity. I sent a sample of my oil several years ago that had 12k miles on it in for analysis and it showed no signs of lubracation breakdown whatsoever and no it's not the expensive stuff but the cheap full syn--the cheap stuff prolly from the same refinery though
It's possible Audi uses a trannie cooler which IMO would make the synthetic lifetime juice..it takes very extreme temps to break it down and most normal cars never even get close.
