not sure whats going on. car was fine then one day when i try taking off from a stop light, the car wont go. put it in reverse and its fine, so i back it off the road. since then, have tried several times and randomly the forward gears will work then suddenly stop working with no warning. reverse always works fine though. the PRNDL indicator is not flashing either. anyone have any ideas?

You are just going to have to get it to a transmission shop. There could be several reasons why your forward gears are not engaging reliably.
