Default Transmission Speed Sensor

Hello,

I have a 2001 A6 with 76,000. The car seems to go on a limp mode (5th gear) when I am cruising around 30-45mph. From my past experience, replacement of this sensor resolves the problem.

My question is : What is the real part number for this speed sensor (g38)?

ALLDATADIY.com kept giving me part number 012409191D which is the speedometer speed sensor and NOT the transmission speed sensor.

Thanks in advance!

My transmission has 2 speed sensors.

Would you be able to state the model of the car, the transmission model end code?

Could you elaborate on your previous experience? On Audi?

Have you read the DTC?

There are many threads here on transmission problems and no one contains speed sensor related resolutions.
