Default Trying to find an 2006 A6 Aux cable adapter

My friend just bought a used 2006 A6. He wants to get an aux input adapter. He has an MMI console, and no nav. To be clear, he's not looking for anything like an iPod specific mmi-console connector, but just a regular stereo audio connector.

I've got a Blitzsafe adapter in my car, but they seem to not have anything for 2006 A6's. They do have something for a 2006 A6, but I have no way of knowing if they are similar enough at all to work.

I also found this: *Audi Aux Adapter (Type Iii) 1998-2006 (At Front Location) - Blitzsafe - AUDI / AUX DMX V.1B

but it says 'no mmi radios' so I doubt it will work.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

He has to get an Audi Music Interface ($750) + the correct cable or he can get a Denison GW500 for about $500, the Denison comes with the correct cable. There is also a unit from eastern Europe (I forget the name of the company) which is less expensive and people seem to be happy with.

You cannot just purchase a cable. The entire audio system is digital so you need an interface which can connect to the digital fiber optic (MOST) loop in the car. That makes the interface more complex than just a cable.
