Default Which turn signal control module?

Our 2002 A6 Quattro has turn signals that are failing. They sometimes work, sometimes work intermittently and sometimes just don't work... Looking into replacing the turn signal control module but I can't figure out if I need this one that plugs in up under the dash:

Or this one that integrates in with the hazard light button:

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you turn on the hazard switch does the turn signal freeze up? If hazard is working normal then it's most likely your turn signal switch but you need to remove steering wheel to replace the turn signal switch.

Hazards work. Isn't the turn signal control module under the dash at about the drivers left knee? Something is right there that looks just like the module I am seeing online.

Hi.
Replace the Hazard light switch. It is also the relay for the indicators.
