Default undercarriage shroud

I recently had the oil changed on my 1999 Audi A6 Avant. A couple of days after the oil change the part that protects the undercarriage fell down. I've since wired it back up. My question is what is this part called and how should it be attached?

the part has several names:
-belly pan
-skid plate
-undercarriage cover

I had mine ripped off when i ran over a tractor trailer tire last month.

When the company wrote the estimate, they just called it the "engine underside cover"

I am not sure how the avant one is held on, im sure if its that hard, the dealership could put it back on/tell you how to for free. should take all of 5 minutes.

Hope this helps!

Do a search on recent belly pan discussions- there is lots of info about how to attach it.

You can buy screws from ecstuning or the dealer the stealers. There are 2 different types of screws being used. (4) plastic screws that go into the wheel well area and (6) metal screws. They always fall out and go a-missing. I only have (4) metal screws and (2) plastic ones on my car, and a wire tie holding the center.
