Default unused 3 yr old tire..

I have a set of 4 all season tires (Delta brand, don't know about this brand, came with the car from the dealer). Put about 2000 miles. Since then kept in a garage inside a plastic bag (for better seal from oxidization) for 3 yrs. Altogether 4 yr old tire. Do you think I give it up or are these still safe to use?
Thanks,

Look at the DOT #'s that will be on one sidewall or the other. They are 12 digits with a mix of numbers and letters for the first 8. They will be in 3 blocks of 4 characters each. The last block of 4 numbers is the date of manufacture. 4208 would mean the 42nd week of the year 2008. It's always week then year. Knowing this will help you answer your question. I am not sure what the recommended replacement interval is by time alone. 5 years comes to mind but I can't remember and it's non listed in the tire book I have.

push on the sidewalls and see if it is dry rotted (there will be cracks)... if its dry probably not too safe, if not they should be ok as long as they are not damaged in any other way.

If your not comfortable with that just take it to any tire shop, they should be able to tell you if they are ok
