Default VAG Problems

He guys, I just installed all the necessary drivers and software (409.1 free version)

My computer recognizes the car, I just scanned for engine codes, none.

When I go into tab #46 The Central Locking Tab it cannot connect. I can not figure out why. I have access to other functions but this. Do I have to purchase the $99.00 license to perform the one touch lock/remote windows and euro lights...etc?

And does anyone have the codes to do these aforementioned tasks?

Thanks
Eric

Good Looking out
Any ideas why I am seeing the cannot connect notice when I try logging on to the central locking tab?
Can I make these changes with the free vag com version 409?

My #46 is unreadable as well. Glad you saw the writeup says #35 and you were successful. It's fun to be able to modify your cars central locks with so many options.

yeah, a lot of the functions aren't included on the cars (like how i can't get into the Memory Seat Pass. because i've obviously don't have power seats on my passenger side) so you can't access them via vag-com which is pretty straightforward.

Rule of thumb: if you can connect at all and the software doesn't tell you that it's a software issue and you come across something that doesn't work, then you probably don't have it.

Do a complete scan for the memory modules. it will tell you which one's you have.

Anything before 2002 uses a central locking control module, after that it was switched over to a comfort convience control module #46.

Should I have access to the 09-Cent. Elect tab while utilizing the free version?

OR

Do I have to purchase the $99.00 license to be able to view or modify this sub-section?

Thanks
E
