Default Vibration problem, I think I may have found something! please help!

ok, well I got new tires and wheels installed by ntb, and they vibrated on the highway, when I went over 60 mph. So I took it back twice, both times they said the wheels were unbalanced, rebalanced them, and then gave the car back to me. The second time, the mechanic even took it for a drive. And after I got it back, I drove on the highway for around 5 minutes, at 80 mph max speed. After 5 minutes, the vibrating started again. Are the wheels becoming unbalanced by themselves? If so, what is causing it?

I will be calling NTB tommorow as well
Thanks for all the help

Now im not sure why exactly its happening. But if you have say an A6 around the area of 1999 model. I notice that they eat through tires like theres no tommorrow. As for you in 5 min?.... maybe something in the Arms or Chassy not to sure tho do not hold me to it

If you got after market wheels, they need hub centering rings to stay in balance, without them it will chatter your teeth when your driving no matter how many times you balance the wheels.

Then i would take it to a different shop that knows what they are doing, they probably aren't cleaning the wheels or something when putting on the wheel weights and they are falling off.

how bad is the virbration? what size rims? if they are 19+ they are extremely hard to balance u will need to find a shop that would have a machine that tells u where exactly to put it and not just on the lip.....I got my wheels doen with a $15000 machine, something hercule force? it is all automated. and it tells u where exactly to put it within millemeter of the location. and my wheels still vibrate to a extent but nothing eraticcly...about 2mm of play at 65mph but as soon as u get to pass that it gone....well check a wheel bearing? that could be a problem im not familar with these part so i dont really know.

the vibratng get pretty violent if I drive to around 80 mph.
THe entire car is shaking pretty bad
Also my wheels areonly 18 inch ones.
taking them to another shop would cost me more money, these people should be respnosible for their work

I had posted a query earlier about the mild vibration I have when I start the engine. Apart from that my car was shaking while doing 60 to 80 mph. I took it for a service (Fairfax Audi, VA). After I took the car back it was perfectly smooth and I drove constantly at different speeds 40 to 90 mph. It was perfectly smooth. But suddenly since yesterday I am feeling a little vibration again at low speeds and while static as well (engine started). I drove at higher speeds, but the vibration is not very evident yet, though at 50 to 60 mph there is very light vibration.

I am not sure if I need to just keep driving or should do something about the same. Please advise.

is it possible that having wheels with the wrong offest will cause this vibration?
The vibration only comes when I go above 60, and the guy at NTB said that beacuse the wheels were the wrong offset, the wheels rubbed against my springs when I went at higher speeds. Does this sound correct?
I bought these wheels from edgeracing.com, they said that these wheels would fit my audi a6 perfectly!
http://edgeracing.com/2002/Audi/A6_3.0/wheel/5256/

they have an offset of 38. Is that the incorrect offset?
