Hello. I want to buy an A6 with Quattro, but im not sure wich engine i should choose. Ive heard the 2,5TDI is a bad choice and the automatic trans. Is crap. But what motor should i choose?

The TDI engine uses the same transmission as the VW and it works just fine. It is a dual clutch trans. I don't recommend the 2.0 turbo. I own an A6 Quattro with the 3.0 supercharged and that is a great engine. I am getting a solid 24 mpg around town (country not city) and on the highway 32-34 mpg. For a car as big as the A6 that is excellent! Good luck you are going to enjoy your A6.

 

2.7T if you want to have some fun. Stick with 2.8 if you want the most reliable of the bunch. FYI, us Americans never got TDI. So can't really comment on the diesels. Avoid 3.0 if you can. Although very reliable, they are complicated to maintain.
