Default Warranty Question - Just bought a 06 Audi A6 and warranty expires in 2 days.

I just bought a 2006 audi a6 from a Volkswagen dealer. It has 42k miles on it and the warranty is ending in 2 days. I am thinking about buying an extended warranty (3 years coverage at least). What are good options? I got a quote from that dealer, they were like $3000 for a bumper to bumper warranty (but $100 deductible) for 3 years.

ive never purchased aftermarket warranty but given the prices of the parts and labor involved if something in our cars breaks i think that 3000 for 3 years is a steal

I have an exclusionary warranty policy on my 05 4.2. I purchased it when I purchased the car new back in 05. It extended my coverage to 7 years and 100K miles with no deductible. My car currently has 64K miles. So far I have already recovered almost 1/2 the purchase price of approx. $2,700.

I have narrowed down the type of warranties to:

1. Easy Care - Lowest I can get is a 3 year/ up to 75K mile for $2222 + tax; or

2. Audi branded warranty through Fidelity - 3/36k mile for $2783 or 5/60k for $3749. They will do 0% financing on this for 18 months with 10% down.

What warranty plan do you think is better between the two? What do you think, should I pay a bit more and get the 5/60k? How is the pricing?

Fidelity has nothing in common with USFideliS; however, the link is pretty informative.

yes, US Fidelis is different than Fideltiy. Audi branded extended warranties are through Fidelity which has a A rating with the BBB. So does EasyCare. Anyone here have any idea if the prices I am getting are good?

I bought a Guardian Warranty (GWC) when I bought by 2004 A6 back in 2007. It is for 48 months or 50,000 miles post the manufacturers warranty. It cost me about $1,900. It more than paid for itself on the first CEL issue which turned out to require a new Torque Convertor. I even used the roadside assistance feature a few weeks back and was impressed to see that they called me 30 minutes after my initial report to make sure the repair truck had arrived and I did not need anything else.

I was skeptical but based on my experiences so far, would highly recommend them.
