i have searched everywhere...what does that top button do?

It turns on and off the interior motion sensors...so if some one stays in the car but you want to lock it the alarm won't go off when the person in the car moves around

use it also if you have the windows open (even a little) with the alarm on, wind can set off the
motion detectors too. I believe most people disable the sensor when they leave a
pet in the car.

Hey. The car has motion sensors that detect movement inside the passenger compartment after the alarm has been set. If you have the windows down or the roof open and set the alarm, it will go off if someone sticks there arm inside the car. That button is to disable the motion sensor in case you have to leave a pet or someone thing in the car that may set off the alarm. When you push it, you have 30 seconds to get out and set the alarm or it just goes back to normal. The red light means that you have turned off the sensors.

yes, that means they're turned off.
