Default what is relay 373 in 2001 2.7t quattro

Alright guys. I have been tracking down issues on this car for well over a month and I have hit a snag. The relay above the relay panel number 373 has a 15 amp fuse below it and keeps popping. I havens feeling this is the root of all of my problems. Can anyone tell me what it controls. My Bentley manual does not show this relay.

373 at the top. Fuse is removed in pic.

If that frame has three places for fuses along the side and one at the end, that should be the brake booster relay. Had any issues or codes relating to brakes?

18321 - Shareware Version. To Decode all DTCs ----Description

Brake servo pressure sensor - short to ground
Cause

Wiring short to ground, brake servo pressure sensor
P1913 - 35-00 - Please Register/Activate

there's the problem.
OK here is the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
I replaced the secondary water pump.
Ordered the part.. Removed the Intake and set aside with a couple of vacuum lines still in place. I did not see the forecast and a storm blew in... big one... so i closed the hood as far as possible without squishing anything and well... wind blows water directly into the engine bay.

SO what i see now is that possible corrosion on the wires? Causing a short circuit which is blowing this fuse and making other things run erratic. Finding out that the ABS stuff may be the primary cause is a big break through.

i Un-plugged the ABS controller and replaced the fuse, cranked the car and the fuse blew. The connector does not look dirty at all so i will assume its further down the line.
Maybe inside the ECU

P1338 - 35-00 - Please Register/Activate ---Camshaft Pos.Sensor,Bank1 Open Circ./Short to B+.

a few more codes which all lead to possible shorts...

here's a funny story, wife complained bla bla she thought it was the intake gaskets so i replaced them. The car ran perfect for 10 minutes after that... is there any explanation to that? battery was removed.

EPC is on car will not drive right, i have switched relays and it still pops the fuse but only while the car first starts. once started i can place in a fuse and it wont blow until i restart the car. no other fuses control this relay/fuse combo. it always has 12v power with the car on or off to one side of the fuse? is that right?

Post this on the s4 section over at audizine. Lots of technicians over there. The a6 section there is not as "involved" as the B5 s4. good luck.
