What is your best MPG w/Quattro...?
I'm brand new to Audi, aformer MB 300D driver. Ijust bought a 97 A6 Quattro wagon, 2.8 lt. and I'm on my second fill-up. According to my first measure, I am only getting 18.2 MPG this is with the A/C running 98% of the time.
What should be an average MPG, without a/c on, city/highway.........? What is the best MPG to be expected? I'm lite on the pedal as gas is $2.69 where I am.

Where are you getting premium for 2.69?!! Here it is always over 3 bucks, currently $3.13.

I use midgrade and can get a steady 18 city if I am light on the pedal over 22 on highway if i'm good with gas lucky for both of you guys I filled up today with 89 octane and it was at $3.28
I use mid + regular when mid is idiotically priced (+30 cents of regular, what crazy horse they fall off?) and I average 16-17 mpg with 60/40 city/highway driving and VERY "Spirited" aka FAST.

14 mpg, is like a 66 Olds Dynamic 88 w/425 ci v-8, that I once owned, pinned you to the seat upon foot to the floor!
I know there are limits to 4xwheel drive..................and would love to sample polka-salid...............are people who own 4x4 cars paranoid, need to vanish fast?
I think your car is really the same style as mine and really the same car except the avant part right? So it should be the same but just realize I am 17 years old and so i might be a little worse than average on gas milage even when I say "driving economicly" If i really try which is like how people usually drive i can get good milage but it really depends on driving style...if you drive like a 17 year old guy you are going to go through gas like one but if you drive like a person who just wants to get where they are going and not worried about how long it takes you can do very well.
