RE: where is the transmission fluid and stick on 2000 a6
Tranny fluid is in the tranny.
You check the level by pulling the plug out of the bottom of the tranny.
If the fluid runs out when you pull the plug, your fluid level is good.
But this has to be checked at given temperatures, meaning if you were to check it when it's to hot it might run out, but at a cooler temp it might not.
also, the car has to be level. someone correct me if'nI am wrong? BENG

Engine running; N
There are 2 plugs, look for the bigger; no fluid should come out if the level is accurate; make sure the level is not low - just add fluid till get dripping out.

You have to monitor the transmission temp with the VAG COMthen pull the plug when it reaches around 32*C, the vehicle also has to be in PARK when checking it un-less its a CVT. (front wheel drive)
Why do you wanna know anyway? You shouldn't be messing with it un-less its leaking.
