Default Audi A7 reliability - better information

I wanted less vague, more up-to-date car reliability information. So in 2005 I started getting people together to make this possible. TrueDelta now updates actual repair frequencies, not just dots, four times a year, to report on new models sooner and track cars closely as they age.

We've had excellent participation by Audi owners, with over 3,000 signed up. I'd like to cover the A7 as soon as possible -- just a matter of getting enough people involved.

Participants simply report repairs the month after they occur on a one-page survey. When there are no repairs, they simply report an approximate odometer reading four times a year, at the end of each quarter.

To encourage participation, participants receive full access to all results, not just those for the A7, for free. I'll share results in this thread when we have them.

Thank you, halp, I appreciate it.

I probably should have gotten back here sooner--we ended up a single response short of the minimum to have an initial stat for the A7 and new A6 later this month.

If you aren't yet a participant, to help ensure that we have a result in May:

This may help. The MMI didn't always go into the "on" position when the car engine was turned on, but Audi claims they fixed that problem with software when the rear camera electronics was installed.

We've updated the our reliability stats for the A7 and current A6 to include owner experiences through September 30, 2012. With 25 repair trips per 100 cars per year, so far these cars are very reliable.

We'll have further updates in February and May. The more owners participate, the more precise these will be.
