Default 1998 A8 4.2 Quattro abs question

ABS and brake light on. Checked driver front sensor, it's clean, drive reluctor also clean. Noticed on the rear of the hub there is a wire that is clipped to the brake line that goes to what appears to be some kind of fuse or connector, and then it ends, it's capped. Is this supposed to go anywhere?

Update: Took the sensor out of the driver side, it and the reluctor were both clean. Reinstalled and my brake AND ABS lights both were out next time I drove it. Hard left turn makes it go on. So it's the ole sensor wire issue...glad that's fixed, and yes, my ABS do work...
