2000 A8 Front Defrost Won't Work

2000 A8 Front Defrost Won't Work
When i press the front window defrost button the light switches on and the fan kicks on to hi but nothing comes out of the defrost vents. Anybody else have this problem and can offer some advise on what to check and/or common problems?
