Does anyone know if the 01 A6 4.2 ecf transmission will work in a 2000 A8 edg code transmission? Both are 5spd tiptronic units The 01 A6 will come with the tcu. Any advice will be helpful. Thanks

Did you ever get an answer to this question? I am facing the exact same situation. I have a 2000 A8 with a bad transmission and I found a 2001 A6 4.2L donor car. Both cars have the exact same transmission codes.
