So my drivers side blinker cover is broken.

Do I have to replace the entire headlight assembly to fix this? Will any other years fit?

 

Any "pre-facelift" ('97-'99) hedlight for teh D2 A8 ('97-'03)will be a two-piece unit. Asuming your 99 was built in the 1st half of teh year (2-piece vs 1 piece headlight assy's isone way totell the difference) it will be a pre-facelift assembly. I believe you can find teh corner blinker/light without the headlight assembly attached, but you CAN'T generally find the headlight without the corner light. Check with Shokan (google it) if you're on the east coast, B-W auto if you're on the left coast. Both are Audi-specific disassemblers, and should/may have just the corner light. If you're is a '99.5 (facelifted) D2, you will need the entire headlight assembly.
