Hi Folks

Im in the process of buying a 94 A8 4.2 quattro,uk spec, and i havent been able to see the car yet for myself as im overseas working.
My question is - can anyone identify if the car has the aluminium body form the chassis number?

The chassis number is - WAUZZZ4DZSN000420

Registered on Sept 29th 1994.

Ive tried the Audi dealership and they say that all A8's were aluminium, but i was led to believe that the aluminium body came later in 94 and onwards...

Im just curious and the current owner doesnt really know......he's an old fella andits just a car to him.

The body is for sure made of aluminium, as all A8's are built on what's called ASF (Aluminium Space Frame). You can find the ASF logo when you open the driver side door, on the lower left hand corner of the opening.
So no doubts then, right?

Also th "S" in the chassis number after the 4DZ shows that its a 95 model year car not 94.
