Ever since I bought this car more than three years ago it has had a judder at low speed and gentle throttle pressure. between about 1200 and 2000 rpm. It is like a slight missfire, it is always there but is worse some days but I can see no consistent pattern. Audi here in Cyprus have tried everything to fix it. The HT leads, injectors, engine ECU aan gearbox CU have all been changed but it makes no difference. Audi first admitted the car has a problem but when they could not fix it even after flying a technician out from Germany they closed ranks and insisted the car was in spec and the problem was me. Assuming they were right and I thought maybe it was weak at low speed so I had a chip tune, but no difference. The car drives me nuts, it is the ugliest thing I have ever driven at 40/50 mph and you can constantly feel this juddering through your butt if you give it some gas and it goes fine but around town it is horrible. Since we can find nothing wrong with the motor I am beginning to think it may be a transmission problem (but we changed the CU).
Does anyone have experience of this missfire/juddering with the A8 V6 2.8 front wheel drive car and if so what is it and how was it fixed. Or is it a type problem that they all have?
