Default Body differences between S8 and A8L??

I'm deciding between a 2008 A8 and a 2007 S8. I am wondering are there any body differences between the two models? I'm thinking about getting an A8 and then making it into a pseudo S8 (Change wheels, chip maybe, etc.) The only thing I don't know is if the body is different.

Thanks.

The A8L is about 3" longer, in teh rear-door/backseating, I think. Never measured, just applied my kaly-braided-eye. Other than that, most everyhing else should be interchangable.

The A8 and S8 are the same length, the A8L is almost half a foot longer in wheelbase.
115.9" VS 121"

Remember the S8 will also have more expensive repairs and different issues with the engine if any.

Go drive both, then ask yourself if you could give up those extra 100hp and the awesome sound of the V10, the crisp handling of the sport suspension and the ultra-exclusivity of owning 1 of about 200 S8s imported to the US in 2007. If the answer is yes then get the A8L.

They seem so different in their purpose. If I had the money, which I never will, I'd go S8 without even thinking about it.

Kudos to you for being able to afford it, I'm envious.

Well, I went with the A8L. I'd love to have that S8 but it was at the top of my range and I was feeling guilty for spending that much. . .

I think the next one will be the S8 if I enjoy the A8L.

Exactly! I've never bought a new car and probably never will. You can save a TON of money buying used. Heck, a CPO is as good as new.

Trust me, I've never bought brand new and never will. But a 2 year old S8 is retarded money still.
