I have a 2007 A8 with a 6 cd changer in the glove box. The audio system is Bose. The system does not identify any cd info. for audio CDs. It only displays CD1, CD2, etc. Should the mmi show the CD name and other info?

 

In my collection only the newest CD's display the name and track name automatically on the MMI display. Older ones only display CD1, CD2 etc.
However, if you've a spare ten minutes you can manually add the titles via the round **** via one of the option menus.
Once this is done, if cleverly remembers this information and if you re-insert a previously manually titled CD it remembers the name you entered previously.
However, you can't manually enter the track names.
