i just purchased an 04 a8 with a little front end damage so i thought of changning the facia to an 08 and yes you have to change the hood, botheadlights and the fromt bumper with the grill the 08 is different from 07 i found a junk yard that sold me both headlights hood and bumper with grill with all the wiring for the foglights and and the parking sensors all for 3200 which was pretty reasonable and cheaper than aftermarket upgrade so you might wanna try some junkyards try car-part.com and keep trying bec it changes every day hope this will help you but its def worth the change i will post some pictures after i am done

Lie down on the couch until the feeling passes. $3000+....come on. Now I can see spending some $$$ to go back to a 2005 and older front end. The new one is butt ugly, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Regardless, whatever you spend, it will cost you more, since your resale will suffer too.

New buyer probably won't appreciate it, and they may wonder if damage created the reason for the change.

Again...lay down until the desire passes...and it will. Some day after the conversion, you'll wonder, "why in the heck did I blow all that cabbage on a front end." (That's ugly).

A word from the wise, i agree changing the front end is a major waste of money if you plan to re-sell it down the road, but if it makes you happy and you plan to keep the car then do it. Personally i like the older D3 design just as much as the new one, but i love almost all cars with four rings in the grille

Nightcralers7, you should probably post your question in the B5 A4 forum.

Did you get a shipping quote from Cuberra to the US? Do you know if an OEM grill will fit this?

But you can always ask for price, english is available....

I'm selling my other car and going to do wheels and the grill on my 8. I hear ya man, I sold a few cars in the last year/2 years and the economy took a toll, definitely takes longer than usual to sell.

Good luck!
