Hi
I live in Canada and recently purchased an Audi A8L modelyear 2001.
This car has a GPS system in it with the last available cd's from NAVTEQ .
This cd package consist of 10 for the US and 1 for Canada.
My car is a Canadian model with the Kilometeres displayed on the dash.
My problem is as follows, when ever I enter a destination in the GPS system
I call up American Metric in the system because I want it displayed in Metric and
the vocals in Metric however, after I reach my destination and turn off the engine the
GPS System automatically reverts back to American Imperial.
This is very annoying and to top it off so far AUDI has not been able to sort this out for me.
Has anyone out there encountered this problem and found a fix for it?

 

Have you considered moving one country south?

Maybe you need to have someone VAG it and (i dont know if this IS possible, but maybe) have them change the default to Metric.
