I have a 2005 A8. Anyone have any experience/advice on installing Audi S8 rims on a 2005 A8? Currently have stock 19inch wheels, looking to upgrade to the 20-inch S8 wheels(see picture). Guy at my Audi dealership wasn't sure it could be done in terms of clearing the break pads.

I'm no expert, but it seems to me like larger 20" wheels should clear the pads with more room to spare than 19" wheels. I would think that since the A8 and S8 are essentially the same car(w/ different suspension, engine, etc.), you should have no problem with S8 wheels.

 

No issues what so ever. I have them on my 06 running 275 35 20 tires and they look a lot better

 

@jamm220. I am thinking of doing the same thing with my 06 A8L. Could you please send me some pics? And was there any issues with air ride and ride quality?

 

email? Ill send you a few...there are no issues with the air ride or ride quality. I also replace the upper front control arms before putting the new wheels and tires on it which I am sure helped
