I'm looking to buy an A8 4.2TDI on an 08 or 09 plate, wondered what other owners thought? I've read the ride's a bit harder than other cars in the class (BMW 7 series, Merc S Class etc) and would love to know what current owners think - reliability / comfort / servicing / known problems etc...?

 

This car will last you forever for as long as you maintain it right (oil changes, transmission flush every 30k, etc). TDI's are bulletproof engines and will get you great gas mileage, though are a little louder than gas engines.

Over and all this is a wonderful car if you can get your hands on one.
