Default Lowering the A8

Has anyone lowered an A8? I have put 255/35/zr20's on both my 01 A8L and my 98 A8 and like the way they look and handle. I would however like to lower them if it is possable. I don't really want to buy the components and be the first trial and error if someone has already given it a try I would like to know how it went. Thanks

My 98' has an Eibach Pro Kit on it. It looks better than stock but the front sits higher than the rear. I'm going to look into correcting this problem. It rides like a dream however. Coupled with the 19" tires I have on it, some may say its aggressive, but I like it!

You should also check out H&R. They make Coilovers for the A8. These will give the car an aggressive stance and a VERY sporting ride. However, they may also prematurely wear out your suspension bits and they cost alot! LIke $2000 installed.

Here's a pic I saw of a car that has them. Looks pretty tight huh?

As you wish.. here are more pics of my ride and the black beauty. I saw it for sale on E-bay a while back. Its a 2001 A8 with an S8 grille and full black out kit. It also has K&R Coilovers and some big-*** german wheels. Perhaps the owner is on this forum and can tell us how he likes the car?

As for mine, it has the stock 19" wheels off a 2004 A8L and Dunlop SP2000 ZR 19" tires.

Thank you, Thank you

this was my old 2001 A8 4.2 Quattro. Meanwhile upgraded to a 2005 A8 4.2

First attempt looked like this

KW V1 Coilover
AEZ Icon 6 20x9.5 with 255/35-20 all around

now as the car was used for show we had to get a little more aggressive.

We changed some items on the outside. Added Euro S8 parts on the front to get the dark look and German clear headlights. Additional 4 pipe exhaust system (not shown on these pics)

Wheels are Tracer Tech 1 Chrome Edition (3-piece)(those are for sale)
Front 18x9.5 ET34 3.25" Dish with 245/40-18 Dunlop SP9000
Rear 18x11 ET28 4.25" Dish with 285/35-18 Dunlop SP9000
