Default My A8L

Hey guys/gals,

This is my first time and post on the forum so I thought I would say HELLO and post a pic of my car.

What do you all think? Just picked up the car a few months ago from a local dealership and had to wait a while for the right wheel to come along....and well, found them!!!

The wheels are 22" Vellano VSP.

Your car looks great. Those are some of the better looking multi-spoke wheels I've seen in a while. I'll bet poeple like the legroom in the back too.

Nice ride, Ray.

From what I've read, the A8's ride isn't on par with that of a MB S500 or BMW 745(not as smooth). How would you grade the ride and are the 22's a severe detriment to the ride quality?

Ray, just out of curiosity, how did you come to the decision to get aftermarket wheels for your new A8L?

The ride is as nice as the S500 or 745i, IMO. I have friends with the S5 or 745 and I wouldn't trade the A8 for either of the other two.

And to my shock, the ride quality is very close to stock.

I major reason why I decided to go with aftermarket wheels, is when I went out with my lady and pulled into the parking lot. There were two other A8s there just like mine. I like to be a little different then the crowd. So I started to look around for wheels. I ended up stopping by a place called Status Auto Design off of PCH. They were really helpful when it came to picking out the right wheels. I had some concernings, like you all have, when it came to the ride quality with the new wheels. Fitment was also a question I had, since I couldn't find many options for my car. The sales person at Status, Dave, went really out of his way to help and called up Vellano and had them come down to help with fitment on the A8. Ended up coming back to meet the guys from Vellano two days later and purchased my wheels. Everything they promised was done!

hahhaha...ended up buying all my stuff for my Lexus LS there as well (wald kit, wald exhaust, and HRE wheels).

I had concerns about the ride, but if you're saying it's as smooth as the benz or 745, then I can't think of a reasopn why this isn't the best luxury car for $100,000.

The Black looks pretty nice with the ammaretto interior.

Nice car, any more pics? Seems like 22's would look huge, but those don't seem to large on your ride.
