Navigation Problems
All,
I just purchased my first A8L (2000) and I must say that I am impressed with the ride and features of this vehicle. Being a previousowner of BMW's 750iL, I have been searching for a replacement since letting it go several years ago. I have tried the Cadillac STS and the Acura 3.5RL, but neither of these cars offer the ride, performance or prestige that the A8 offers. This car is SWEEET!!!
While I have had success at figuring out most of the options, I can not get my NAV to come on. I have inserted the proper CD in the drive, as well as checking the cables that plug into it; am I missing something? I know that the DIs, Menu and rotary **** are working, as I can make changes to the display, what is the trick to gettingthe NAV to work?

RE: Navigation Problems
I did some tinkering aorund today and found that when I unplug the NAV player in the trunk and plug it back in, I get a "The language that you have selected is ready" from the speakers, but no display. I also checked all of the fuses that are listed in the manual for the NAV and all look OK. I am going to assume that since the DIS is working for the normal operations, that it will work for the NAV; so what else could be the problem, other than the CD is not spinning up?
