I just installed a brand new MMI to my 04 A8 today. The MMI functions ok and works just fine, the only propblem is when the ignition is turned off then remove the key and start vehicle again, the MMI does not repsond accordingly.

The MMI button only lights up faintly and the screen does not come up, i notice that the screen is illuminated, as I can see it shining through the dash, it does nothing, no sound or the buttons on MMI are not responding.

On the other hand, if I dont start the car and leave the key in the "on" position after a few minutes, the MMI decides to operate and function without a problem?

Anyone have any suggestions? Seems like the MMI is not not receiving a full current or something, when the key is inserted into the ignigtion? Thanks.
