prefacelift to postfacelift conversion
Hi, a newbie here, 97 Q.
The good: 38K miles (it shows & smells), Hot/Cold, Bose & S8 Seats (I think S8, looks like factory Recaro).
The bad: It needs complete front end, and I mean complete. Bumper, bumper support, bumper shocks, grills, headlights , hood, radiator, condenser, electric fan, fan clutch, core support, engine mount.
To buy the front end individually is a small fortune so I’m thinking of buying this 2001 postfacelift car, destroyed B-pillar back on driver side and perfect front end. Are these front ends interchangeable, just plug and play?? Do I have to swap fenders?? If anyone has done this or want to put in their 2 cents I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

I think it is possible. I believe it was posted on the AW some time ago.
But I don't think it's plug and play. IIRC, it was a real pain in the *** and he had to make some modifications to get it to fit.
