Default rear brakes...help!!!!

hey, new to the forums, hows evberyone doin, i was doin a brake job on my 04 a8l and the fronts were a cinch, but the rears im worried about, they look like they have a electric motor on the caliper, i didnt want to press the piston in and chance having to get new rear calipers....is it that simple, just push them back in, or do i have to do something...im stuck and cant drive till i get this done...help!!!!!

that doesnt help me at all, my audi has electronic motors on the rear calipers, for the electronic parking brake....

well, it looks like in order to get the rear brake caliper pistons in, you need to go into the parking brake system with a laptop or dealer tool, and go to basic settings "4" then go to "007".....and so on and so forth, got it done, if anyone needs the procedure, just send me a message, and ill give you step by step instructions....and yes...i have the software needed to do this on my laptop

just email me at neomaximus10@gmail.com or evansauto@wowway.com and i can scan andemail you the 2 page procedure, the tool that we use is the http://www.pcretriever.com/ "pc retriever" you need the audi and vw software. you HAVE to communicate with car with a scantool or you cannot do rear brakes!!!!!

Get it straight from the source. www.ross-tech.com I beilieve the cable runs around $250 and the software download is free.

i paid around 700 for the pc reitriever several several years ago, it does what it needs to do and it doesit well, all you need is a laptop with a serial or usb port on it
