Sounds like a fuse or electrical component that went haywire. Definitely take it to a euro indy shop not the stealer.. come on now

How is your Battery Level? and Alternator?... if your battery level is getting low, the Battery Management system will deem certain components of the car that is not very important and turn the off temporarily until the battery is operating with enough power.

could be the light sensor which is out, do you have your lights on Auto Setup or do you manually turn on the headlights?

So i bought vag com, ran everything and there was nothing that showed errors with mirrors and homelink, but it did say that battery voltage regulator is bad.

I unplugged the battery, plugged it back in and the problem was solved.

But now, the windows wont go up by themselves. They go down all the way but up u gotta hold it all the way.

Any way to fix that?

cant remember if there is a setting in the convenience setting off the MMI for windows up... my 2004 A8 did the same thing after having issues with a bad battery. make sure your battery is all good. I found that sometimes it just needs to reset everything once the the car has had a power loss
