Hello enthusiasts, just sold my Avant and now im looking into buying an A8, i've heard about the transmission problems, so im wondering which year to get between the 99 and 01. The 2001 has 129xxx on it 3rd owner, he says the trans shifts good, no problem with motor. He wants 5,250, is that a good price ? I like this year the interior seems plusher and roomier.

The 1999 is 1 owner and garage kept, transmission was rebuilt by aamco, I was looking for trans to be rebuilt ZF owner says its still under aamco warranty its clean the price is 4,400. The car has 122,xxx
