Default Sputterd and stalled

Hello.I'm stalled out in a small town on the way home from a road trip HELP!!I have a 2001 A8L 185K runs perfect. I pull away from a stop sign and the car starts sputtering and then stalls out. No warning lights at all,I wait a bit and start the car it barley starts sputters for a bit a dies. The car has been towed to a local garage to sit over night. The nearest Audi dealer is 500 miles and we are 500 miles from home! Is there any info to help get us back on the road?Fuel pump? Alt? belts are fine oil is good and we have a full tank of gas.Just about to complete a 3000 mile road trip with no symptoms. Any advice would be great.
thanks in advance

Hey man, sounds like what my 97 was doing before I swapped the fuel pump out. Call Python Injection, they can get you a pump overnighted to your location and its around 80 shipped. I hope that is the issue. part number is NP12-612

just take your time pulling the assembly cause its a PITA to get out and back in, and VERY easy to break.

Default Thank you

Ordered the fuel pump from Python should be here tomorrow and we can go on our way.I did let the local shop know to be extra careful removing and re installing. This was a big help.

Default New fuel pump and still stalls

The local shop has installed the pump and got the car running.10 miles of testing and it stalls out. They seem to be confused as to the problem now.We are now stuck 500 miles from home going on 4 days.Anyone have any input? Please.what else could it be?The nearest dealer is 400 miles and funds are limited.help me give these local mechanics something to go on.
