Exclamation Strange Tiptronic problem

Hi folks, I have a 2001 A8 2,5 TDI which is great. HOWEVER; When I start it and turn on the driving lights (any lights), the manual tiptronic does not work. The cluster in the dash says 12345 (manual mode) and the lights on the shifter is active on the manual tiptronic ( + and - ) but when I slip the shifter to manual mode (tiptronic) NOTHING happens. When I take it back to drive (automatic mode) it drives just fine through all the gears and shifts beautifully. So this is pretty strange.... When I start it WITHOUT turning any driving lights on, the manual tiptronic works like a charm

Anyone have a valued tip or even sollution to this problem???

It seems to me to maybe be an electrical issue, but how is the driving lights connected to the gearbox??
Thanks in advance for any pointers to solve the problem
