I have a 2008 A8 and would like to upgrade to LED DRLs. What is involved in upgrading to the S8/W12 headlight assembly with LED DRL's? I hit a deer so insurance will already be paying to replace one.

Does it work?

Does it trigger bulb out warnings?

Does the computer need to be reprogrammed?

Are there different connections?

Is it plug and play?


Is the better solution just to stick with the standard 2008 A8 headlight assemblies and replace the incandescent DRL bulb with an LED bulb with resistor?

Is there anything else I need to know about it?
