Gennerally speaking the first year or two of a release is the worst to have as there are more bugs in vehicles. Over time engineering mistakes are fixed. I wouldnt say the a8 had any bad years. The 06 has a ton of reprograming updateds that dont needed to be perfomed because they were done while the car was built.
