Default Q5 brakes at 14,000

Hey all, thx in advance for responding. Just bought a 2012 Q5 with 9000m. Brought it in for un unrelated issue {sat antenna}, and they informed me that my front brakes and rotors needed attention {4mm}. Currently have 14000m on the vehicle. Never owned an Audi before this. Not thinking this is the norm? thx

No, it is not normal unless someone has been taking it to the track or driving very aggressively. Mine lasted about 31,500 miles before the front rotor and pads were replaced by an Indy shop. I bought OEM rotors and Textar pads and the Indy shop charged me $150 to round up to about $440.
