Question, I have a 2013 Audi Q5 Non-Navi/Non MMI, I want to add the backup camera from the factory model and also make sure it has the moving parking lines. Any suggestions? The first link in the thread doesnt work and i've looked at navtool but am not sold because there is not a lot of info or installation material. Any help is appreciated

I got the back up system from jemko installed on my 2012 Q5 - non MMI. It has parking lines but they dont move. However it does the job for me. So i'm happy with it

Thanks for the help sreejith.1978, tried looking for the jemko backup camera but their website does not carry it and i couldnt get in touch with them. I did find this factory option and am going to order it, apparently it does have the moving parking lines, i'll post some information about it after installation for reference.

I purchased for my A5 from them a month and a half ago. It works great for me and the parking lines move just as advertised. Shipping was really quick and their customer service was great.

As far as cost goes, I think it ran me around 540 and I paid 235 for installation.

I had a good experience and I definitely recommend them!

barnsie, how did you find an installer familiar with the job?

Does installing the camera by 3rd parties void warranties?

Not if you live in the United States. Your dealer may not agree but his attorney will be familiar with state and federal warranty laws that say "Unless you can prove my work broke the car, you have to honor the warranty."

If you live in the US, you should get familiar with federal and state consumer protection and warranty laws, because a lot of businesses pretend they don't exist.
