I am looking to replace my 2004 VW Touareg V8. It has been a great SUV, very luxurious with good styling but the fuel consumption is quite high at 13 MPG combined city/highway. I need to be able to tow my boat which weighs 3900 lbs fully loaded on its trailer.

I am wondering if the Q5 would be a good tow vehicle for me with its tow rating of 4400 lbs.

I am also wondering what the EPA will rate the new Q5's 3.0T MPG at?

 

Late to the party as there's not much activity on the forum...

but we too are considering the 3.0T as it is a great engine in the A6 we had as a loaner...
