Default noise when stopping the car - releasing brakes

Hi,

New to the forum. I recently got a 2010 Q5 3.2. It's CPO. I noticed the car starts making noise when you are almost getting to a stop applying the brakes...some noisy rumbling from the brakes / suspension. Same thing if you are slightly releasing the brakes while still stop, say , in a stop light. I took it to the dealer, they said all Q5s do it, there is nothing wrong with the car or the brakes. I just can not believe it. What's the veredict?

I just bought a 2012 q5 2.0 a little over a month now. I took it to the dealer today in brooklyn, ny because of the same problem. i have 700miles right now. He told me it's because i have new brakes and i need to break it in first. We went for a test drive and he said it's normal. It's a rubbing noise when i come to complete stop or when i let go of the brakes.

In my experience most cars do that, epecially if you let the car creep forward against the brakes, like when waiting for a light to change.

try bedding the brakepads/rotors. simple process --- you can google it to find out how to do it.
