Q5 Pricing
I'm interested to know as well as to how much folks have paid for theirs. I've tested a couple times both the 2.0 and the 3.2 models and I could go for either one. I'm coming from an X3 so am a bit used to the 6cyl but the 4 turbo with the high torque is plenty for me as well. Couple of SF Bay Area dealers are not budging more than $700-800 below MSRP!
Just settled on one today 2.0 Premium Plus, Nav, B&O, 19" wheels and got $1400 off in NYC area. Also lucky this was only one in dealer pipeline not yet taken and in color combo I wanted - dark blue, cinnamon. All other dealers only offered earliest deliver at end of July for the 2.0.
I paid cost on my in Jacksonville, FL. Pulled the Consumer Reports pricing went in with it and bought a white one. It was on the ship and was here in a week. I have the 2.0 and it is smoothe as silk @ 115mph. The 3.2 just gets you there a little quicker. 4 cyl vs 6 cyl also save on the gas. Yes it does take premium plus.
They went to add the $250 advertising fee and I said no and started to walk out. They saw the light and called me back. I traded a 08 TT roadster for it. Both are very fast. The white Q5 wasn't a ticket looking for a place to be written like the red roadster was.
If you want a trailer hitch get it in the deal. It is $795. If you get it afterwards it is $795 plus about $600 to wire it. I tried to get one done somewhere else and they couldn't wire it because of the LED circuits are testy.
Love my Q5. Yes I drove the Q7 but it was way too big.

My dealer in Houston Texas split the difference between invoice and MSRP on my 2011 Q5 2.0T. I did not want to haggle on a couple of hunder bucks. I bought the maintenance package and extended warranty (turbos repairs after factory warraty make me queasy). make me I agree with Number 5 on the trailer hitch. Get it in the beginning. I too drove both the 2.0T and 3.2 and really like the 2.0T better... the transmission is sweet! I get great mileage (23 around town). Best decision I have made on a car.
Picked up a 2012 Q5 Premium Plus + Navigation 2.0T, Tow Hitch, B & O Sound system, Silver Metallic Paint, Rubber Beach Mat, Chrome Exhaust, 19" Wheels.
Sticker was 47,040.
Price 45,998 plus a 1500 Audi Loyalty
So out the door 44,498 or about 2500 off.
I felt pretty good about it since it was the color combo I have been looking for. It matches my 2006 Audi A4 S-Line
I love it!

I too felt I got an acceptable deal here in the dfw area for my P+ - list 45,165, price 42,250... of course that was in May/June time frame...
