I've read about the oil consumption of the Q7 on several boards. I had a 2017 Q7 with the V6 that used one quart at about half the normal oil change interval, which I thought was acceptable given some of the stories I have read. I recently purchased a 2023 Q7 with the same motor and currently it has about 1000 miles on it. I'm thinking of changing the oil and filter now and then having the dealer change it at the recommended interval which I think is 10K miles or one year. Do you think it is too early to change oil now, too late (my motorcycle buddies recommend 600 miles) or just wait for the regular interval. I'm trying to keep this car for a while and don't want to be feeding it a quart every two fill ups. Your thoughts will be appreciated.
