Hi all,

I live in Hungary and own a 2006 Q7. My wife just drove it 2 hours away to Budapest and parked it. She came back out and when she pushed start the dash lights came on, but did not crank. The vehicle locks and unlocks with the key fob just fine. She inserted the key manually, but still wouldn't crank. Keep in mind, we do not speak Hungarian very well, so this was very a very bad situation. After about 30 minutes, it started. Hopefully she can get home so I can check grounds, etc. I warned her to not shut it off. I didn't want to ride my motorcycle in the rain for 2 hours to rescue her.

I understand there was a recall on the starter relay?

 

No more starting issues after ignoring it.
