We have a late model 2007 Q7, with MMI Advanced and wiring/antenna for Sirius, no Nav. However, it does NOT appear to have AMI nor iPod integration. It does have the in-dash 6-disc changer. So the questions: Can I add AMI in order to get the iPod integration? Where does the AMI get mounted (rear side compartment, glove box)? Is this something I can do on my own or does it require dealer install? Do I need to go aftermarket (i.e. Kufatec) or should I get from the dealer? Any/all advice would be greatly appreciated.

 

Audi just released the iPod upgrade for select models. I too have a late 2007 manufactured Q7. I contact the dealer to get a price. Since the have to add a lot of stuff to the Q7 (it mounts in the center console), the estimated price was $1900--$2000 installed... I will use head phones.. Why they would make a upgrade at that price is not clear.

 

Just curious to see what the p/n were that they gave you for the retrofit? My dealer is already spending $500 to give me the improved armrest from AMI so maybe it might not be that much more for me. Can't believe a $50k car does not have BT. We bought the car CPO and they stated it had BT!
